Memories of German crimes

We know that we were in captivity for six years, which brought our entire country to the fall. After six years of enslavement, we have many memories of various torments and crimes that the Germans committed during the occupation. Today we can describe them, especially those we witnessed. In the fall, on 22 September 1944, in the village of Piotrowe Pole, which was situated in the forest, 20 km from Ostrowiec, the Germans committed a large crime because the partisans frequently stayed there. The village was completely destroyed. The men were herded to the nearby town of Sienna for interrogation. After two weeks of questioning and torment, some of the men were cruelly murdered by the criminals, and some were taken to Germany for forced labor. The women, deprived of a roof over their heads, had to go to their families to find a shelter. The second crime was committed by the Germans in 1943 in Zawały, a village situated ten kilometers from Piotrowe Pole. Ten houses were destroyed there, and the people were burned alive. The Germans committed many crimes that we must never forget.
