I know that during the German occupation Jan Motyka was caught in the woods by the Gestapo as he walked to the units of resistance fighters, carrying medicine for wounded fighters. Two of his friends were with him then: Antoni Adamczyk and Tadeusz Przybylski, and later on 10 August 1944, they were executed at the Stadium in Kielce.
