STANISŁAWA KONCA

Kielce, 18 July 1948, 4.00 p. m. Zygmunt Winter from the Citizens’ Militia Station in Kielce, with the participation of court reporter Stefan Młodawski, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:

Name and surname Stanisława Konca
Parents’ names Józef and Franciszka, néeŁapińska
Age 49 years old
Place of birth Warsaw
Religious affiliation Roman Catholic
Occupation office worker
Place of residence Kielce, Równa Street 5

My husband wasn’t employed anywhere, but he engaged in trading activities from time to time. On 23 June 1944, my husband was taken from our flat by the German Gestapo.

On 6 July 1944, my husband and many other people were executed at the Stadium (in Piaski).

When my husband was taken from our flat, he was incarcerated in Kielce prison, from where together with other people, he was taken to the Stadium and executed.

My husband worked for the underground Home Army as a quartermaster for the Kielce area and he was denounced to the Gestapo by agent provocateur Mączyński.

It is not known whether the execution was carried out in retaliation. The execution was carried out by the Gestapo. As for the surnames of the Gestapo men, I know the surname of their head, Esig, but I don’t know any other surnames.

The corpses were buried at the execution site. In 1945 the corpses were exhumed and buried in the cemetery of resistance fighters.

At this point the report was concluded, read out and signed.
