In March 1944, I saw a taxi arrive at a military site along the Warsaw road, with some Gestapo men who were looking over the area. This was in the afternoon. After three quarters of an hour, several trucks arrived packed with German gendarmes and Gestapo men who surrounded the area. I saw all this from the window of my house, located at a distance of 11 or 12 meters. After occupying the square, an armored car arrived at the site, which I also had in my view. Then I saw a few Gestapo men leave this car, bringing 37 Poles out with them. This was done in such a way that groups of seven or eight [people] were pulled from the car. Because they had their hands tied behind their backs, they often fell from the car onto their faces. Then, all 37 were taken to [illegible] and they were shot there in groups. The executions were carried out by a special firing squad. Those who didn’t suffer immediate death were killed by single shots from short firearms, shot in the head. The corpses of the dead lay there at the execution site until eight o’clock. Then two taxis and a truck came, onto which some Russian prisoners loaded the corpses. The truck carrying the corpses headed off towards Firlej. Kazimiera Dzianachowska then recognized five people among those shot. I should mention that after the execution, we were forbidden to go anywhere near the corpses.

Dzianachowska lives at Daleka Street 47.

The report was read out.
