STANISŁAWA POLANOWSKA

15 July 2001

In connection with the efforts to memorialize Poles who rescued the Jews, I feel obliged to join in and corroborate all the facts described by Anna Czyżewska née Zołotarew.

I survived the war after escaping from the Warsaw ghetto, together with my mother Stefania Rappel (during the war, her name was Kondracka), thanks to the generous help of Irena (my aunt) and Borys Zołotarew, her husband.

Additionally, they had a hand in saving the Typograf family: Lilka, Nela, and Samuel.

They fully deserve to be remembered because of their goodness and for saving people in the darkest hour of the occupation.
