ZYGMUNT OZIĘBŁO

Dearest Irenka!

Happily I am well – there is no need for you to worry about me. How are you and your dearest ones? Are they safe and sound too? And how is Bogdałka? Does he walk well and talk much? I think that our family is bigger now, that you have already given birth to the child.

You see how many questions I have, but that’s not all. I’m afraid to ask about mother, Anielka and Lucek. On the night from 6 to 7 September I was in the house in Warsaw. Mother, Anielka, and Lucek weren’t home, and the flat was locked. The caretaker told me that mother and Anielka left on 3 September, but that he didn’t know where they went. This is why I’m very worried about them. I think that they went to our place, but did they get there? This causes me a lot of concern. Are they alive and well? Please get in touch with the Szymańskis, they might have some information, or maybe the family from Skierniewice. That would be all that I ask of you. [Illegible] take care [?] of my family as well, especially my mother.

Give my best regards to your family and our friends, and wish them all a happy Christmas.

I give you my kisses and wait for your prompt response.

Best wishes from Zdzisiek Boniek.

Your Zygmunt
