What do the mass graves tell us?
In the forests, fields, meadows, and roadside ditches there are many graves of partisans who died for Poland. Many partisans perished in the Warsaw Uprising. Those who survived went [back] to the forest to fight for freedom and to liberate their homeland from the German occupier. Many partisans wandered in the forests. They suffered from hunger and cold. Whenever the Germans moved away, the partisans would light a fire and warm themselves, and if they had some food, they would cook lunch or dinner.
The partisans endured it all to defend Poland. They teach us how to defend our homeland against the enemy. They deserve all the glory and respect; we should pay homage to them. We shall never forget about the graves of partisans who died for Poland.
