My memories of German crimes

During the occupation, the Germans treated the Poles in a barbaric way. My parents often talked about the mass shooting of people by the Germans. Hearing such a conversation, I would ask my father: “Why are they murdering Poles?” My father would reply: “For being true Poles.”

Concentration camps and graves at execution sites testify to how the German torturers treated people who felt they were good Poles and fell into their criminal hands.
